Architecture is a discovery, and this house promotes curiosity. Simplicity in materials that transcends into what can only be described as a fluid deconstructing of modern architecture. The process of peeling away every single layer that conforms a house, until you reach the core.
This is what Casa B&B Italia is, a raw interpretation of material and light.
ARCHITECTURE
A brutalist façade, all built in concrete, raw in appearance, geometrically sharp but tilted, welcomes its visitor in between volumes and crevices. This is a quiet architecture as Peter Zumthor says; “Buildings can have a beautiful silence”. Appearance, that holds its character on the inside.
Raw, simple but a storytelling project. We want the architecture to be remembered for decades to come.

As the residence comes into, the first glimpse offers a visual gasp with the distinctly modern architecture in counterpoint to the vibrant colorful water landscape on the Venetian Islands.
The breakdown of the volumes conforms the overall front façade where privacy is key. In between them is where circulation and light travels to connect each piece and create a connected series of spaces.

By idolizing the restrictive zoning rules, by breaking down the volumes, the house not just allowed light to come into its core, but helped the vision spread throughout the whole space and allow for it to relate each space with that of its exterior.
