This is the first of its kind luxury residential real estate development, created by Alexis C Lleonart, the first private residential estate partnership with B&B Italia.
Casa B&B Italia firmly embraces the natural landscape, subscribing to the thesis a residence and the land that it lives in should blend together seamlessly.
Located on the Venetian Islands, the project is a truly visionary example of elegant architecture responding to a re-imagined modern lifestyle.
All spaces are openable to the backyard and its seamless relationship with the exterior; in this case relates to the idea of blurring the interior with the exterior features of the house. The floor plan of the house is conceived as a decentralized layout. None of the spaces are the center and none of them are intended to take anything away from one another.
Its response is to the functional use of the architecture to cause a balanced interaction between the rooms.
As intended in the entire project, the design of this house has been about the circulation between one space to another.
We created a collection of small dwellings where each one hangs on a different level or has a different height that allows the occupants the ability to be intimately hugged by its architecture and to create different atmospheres.
Verticality in the interiors was always a focal intent of the design. A double height library that embodies a museum and grand national library type atmosphere with a picture frame, oversized vertical window facing the elegant lap pool are the main elements to create scale and interior ambiance.
Doo Architecture and Alexis C Lleonart continue to drive home its original mission of creating incredibly unique and awe-inspiring private residences across the globe. Casa B&B Italia has managed to secure its spot in Miami Beach’s deep history of design and modern architecture; driving home the immense value of great design and celebrating those that demonstrate excellence through their projects by continuously being awarded through its piers.
These awards celebrate this extraordinary residence, highlighting the pioneering work of the architects and designers as they strive to create architecture that will stand the test of time — for this decade and the next.
